Project High-Phi: New project supporting high school philosophical education

Project High-Phi supports philosophical education in America’s high schools.

Consisting of several parts, Project High-Phi includes:

  1. an annual essay context. (For 2010-11 this contest will be open only to Virginia students);
  2. a website containing resources for both students and teachers, including suggestions for reading and writing, notifications about philosophical happenings around the country, and much more; and
  3. an upcoming Summer Institute for high school teachers entitled Epic Questions: Mind, Meaning and Morality, to be held July, 2011, at the University of Virginia, supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities.
